January 23, 2010 – Digital Canal Corporation,
a leading provider of professional home design, estimating and scheduling
software for the construction industry, has announced the release of Version 19
of SolidBuilder with Building Blocks.
Albert Einstein once said that “Genius is the ability to reduce the complicated
to being simple.” This theory continues with the development of
SolidBuilder 19 with Building Blocks. There is virtually no learning curve
to get started designing / modeling with release 19 as long as the user can
click and drag on the PC screen. In addition, the new release is loaded
with new advanced features to enhance productivity and save the advanced user

“Our experience has been that professional contractors want three things: easy
to use software with little or no learning curve, 3D presentation capabilities,
and real-world accuracy in their designs. SolidBuilder encompasses all of
these keys and is also true BIM software so builders can be certain that what
they design / model on their computer is accurate and
thus can be built as designed in the field.” said Ed Graham, Digital Canal

Timber Design 11 features the latest building codes (NDS 2005, IBC 2006, ASCE

DIGITAL CANAL ANNOUNCES THE RELEASE OF BUILDING BLOCKS™ RESIDENTIAL DESIGN
SOFTWARE
Dubuque, IA, August 14, 2009 – Digital Canal
Corporation, a leading developer of professional design,
estimating and scheduling software for the construction industry, has announced
the release of Building Blocks as a stand-alone product.
Previously Building Blocks required the user to own SolidBuilder in order to use
this easy and inexpensive residential design software.
Albert Einstein once said
that “Genius is the ability to reduce the complicated to being simple.”
This formula was the driving force behind Building Blocks. The user simply
clicks to add rooms to their design and then drags them into place – much like
using building blocks as a child! Contractors can simply click and drag to
create professional and accurate 3D models and the accompanying working drawings
all within as little as 20 minutes in most cases. That is the definition
of reducing the complicated to the simple.
“Many design programs exist today. However, our experience
has been that professional contractors want three things: easy to use software
with little or no learning curve, 3D presentation capabilities, and real-world
accuracy in their designs. I am proud to say that it now exists with
Building Blocks and at a price point previously unavailable for professional
design software” said Ed Graham, Digital Canal Corporation President.
About Digital Canal Corporation – With over 9,000
clients, Digital Canal Corporation is a leading provider of professional design,
estimating and scheduling software for the building industry. Digital
