Hello Tom.  I thought you may be interested to see a project greatly assisted by the power of Solid Builder.  16 house packages were panelized in Michigan prisons, and sent to Detroit.  The panel drawings were all produced by Solid Builder.  The walls of each house were standing at the end of the 1st day, because of panelization.  Now a neighborhood once filled with condemned houses deep within the heart of Detroit have been replaced with new homes.  I spent my final week as a civil servant at this site as a house leader.  It was among my most rewarding days of my career. Having helped with the Solid Builder panel drawings and project design, it was especially rewarding to be a part of the end result.  16 families have decent new homes they can afford.

Hundreds of partners joined us in September 2003 as Habitat for Humanity Detroit built 16 single family, decent, affordable houses in partnership with Detroit families in need. The blitz build was held during Habitat Detroit's observance of Building on Faith Week, September 6-13, 2003 in Tri-Centennial Village.

Habitat Detroit Blitz Build '03 secured sponsorships to support the construction of 16 single-family, decent, safe and affordable houses in Tri-Centennial Village. We gratefully acknowledge our generous sponsors for their support.

Check below for panoramic photos of the daily transformation throughout Blitz Build '03 week.
