 Steel Design
Quickly design or check multi-span steel beams and single-span beams/columns using the ASD and LRFD standards.  Calculation procedure reports contain amazing detail.

  Retaining Wall
Requires virtually no learning curve, designs or checks any retaining or basement wall in minutes with unsurpassed accuracy.

  Concrete Beam Design
Completely designs concrete beams using the ACI 2002 code.  Designs include beam section dimensions as well as the size, number, length and location of the longitudinal bars and stirrups.  Don't be fooled by programs that just give you an area of steel calculation...that's the easy part!

  Concrete Column Design
Designs or checks columns for axial loads and bi-axial moments using ACI 2002 code.  Column design includes the number, size and orientation of the reinforcement as well as the required section dimensions.

  Masonry Wall
Designs cantilever and basement walls using partial or fully grouted cells.  Loads include dead, live, wind, earth pressure and automatically computes seismic loads.

  Timber Design
Written in cooperation with The Engineered Wood Society (APA-EWS), this easy-to-use
program analyzes, designs or checks continuous beams or columns.

  Wind Analysis
Quickly calculates wind pressures and forces per ASCE 7-98, 7-02 and 7-05 codes.  Multiple structure types are already included for effortless structure definition.

  Spread Footing Design
Footings for hundreds of columns can be designed in less than an hour.  Footings are designed for virtually any type of load, including bi-axial moments and net uplift.

  Multiple Load Footing
Design footings with more than one column, including combined, trapezoidal, strap and rectangular footings.  Simple parametric inputs are used to build a finite element automatically.

  Composite Steel Design
Design or check encased and composite beams using ASD and LRFD design codes.  Beams can be designed for full or partial composite action.  Design considerations include shored/unshored construction, deflections, negative moments and more.

  Aluminum Design
Design or check aluminum members for axial loads, biaxial bending and deflections.  Supported shapes include wide flanges, tubes, angles, channels, Tees, pipes and double angles.

  Flat Slab Analysis
Analyze and design flat slab or waffle slab floors.  Flat slabs may have drop panels at columns and columns may have capitals.  Analyses are for a one-bay-wide strip using the equivalent frame analysis method of the ACI code.  The strip may have to 20 spans and may have cantilevers at the ends.

  Static Pile Analysis
Perform vertical and lateral soil-structure interaction analyses for anything from a fence post to a deep pile.  Advanced features include plastic behavior of the soil, skin friction and lateral subgrade reaction that varies with depth.

  Pile Group Analysis
Perform vertical and lateral soil-structure interaction analyses for anything from a fence post to a deep pile.  Advanced features include plastic behavior of the soil, skin friction and lateral subgrade reaction that varies with depth.

  General Section Properties
Calculate the centroidal axis locations, moments of inertia, radius of gyration, section moduli and product moment of inertia for virtually any shape.  Shape definitions can be constructed using general shapes (circles, triangles, etc.) as well as standard shapes (wide flanges, tubes, etc.).  General Section Properties also computes the section properties of reinforced concrete and composite members.

  Shear Wall Analysis
Analyze a building which is laterally supported by shear walls for the shears and moments in each of the shear walls.  Loads due to wind and seismic conditions can be input in two perpendicular directions.  Lateral loads are distributed based on the combined flexural and shear stiffness of the individual wall elements.  Displacements are outputted for the four comers of the building at each floor level.
