Plan Folder
Digital Takeoff’s new plan folder allows you to easily
and quickly switch from one drawing to another. Now switching
drawings is a one-click task.
Enhanced Visibility Easily control what information you’re viewing at all
times. This new feature gives you control over the visibility of
every traced image on your monitor. Say goodbye to working with
cluttered and crowded drawings.
Ruler Bar Visually shows your lengths as you
trace. Digital
Takeoff’s ruler bar accurately displays the length of each object as
you trace. Since it works with both length and area, use the
ruler bar to verify dimensions or accuracy of your plan.
Command Line Never wonder what you should do next, Digital Takeoff
now includes a command line. This command line is conveniently
located next to your cursor and prompts you with what to do
depending on the command you are using.
Labels Easily view your measurements with automatic labels.
After you trace a length or area, Digital Takeoff will display
the measurement totals next to the image. This feature is ideal for
recalling measurements from previously traced objects.
Continuous Trace
Trace more information is less time! The
continuous digitizing command allows you to trace multiple objects without
exiting the command. When finished, Digital Takeoff will display the
quantities for all traced objects. This feature alone will save hours
per job.
Magnify Get pinpoint accuracy with the magnify command. Instead of
zooming into each point you wish to select, use the magnify command.
Digital Takeoff automatically magnifies your drawing allowing you to
select your exact point with zooming.
Curved Images Digital Takeoff now supports curved images. With just three
clicks, Digital Takeoff accurately calculates and displays the
measurements of the curved object. It doesn’t get much easier than this!
Freehand Images Easily and accurately measure odd shapes with the Freehand
command. Simply outline any irregular shape with your mouse, and Digital
Takeoff will accurately calculate the totals.
Hotkeys Further decrease your take off and estimating time with
hotkeys. Digital Takeoff now supports the ability to set hotkeys to
execute a command instead of clicking on an icon. Using hotkeys will
shave hours of time off your estimating.
Rafters Calculate rafter lengths without a roof framing plan. After
digitizing an area, simply specify the rafter orientation, spacing, and
slope for that area. Digital Takeoff automatically calculates and
displays the length of each rafter on your plan.
Joists Calculate joists lengths without a floor framing plan.
After digitizing an area, simply specify the joists orientation and
spacing for that area. Digital Takeoff automatically calculates and
displays the length of each joist on your plan.
Grips Have you ever
traced an area and wished you could change
it later? Well now you can. Digital Takeoff automatically adds grips to
your traced objects. These grips can be moved around the drawing
changing the shape and quantities of your traced object.

Crop The new crop command is ideal when
working with large plans. Not only will Digital Takeoff crop out a
selected area, but it also saves the selected area as a separate
drawing. This separate drawing can then be opened and
traced like
any drawing.
Level Are you tired of working with skewed
drawings? Not anymore. Digital Takeoff is now equipped with a
leveling feature. Simply draw a line on the drawing that should be
horizontal and Digital Takeoff automatically straightens your
drawing out for you.
Notes Digital Takeoff now includes a notes
command that allows you to place any miscellaneous notes. Whether it
is a note about the plan or the estimate, this feature allows you to
add extra notes to ensure nothing gets missed.

Subtract Openings Easily subtract quantities from your plan
to accommodate for doors and windows. Simply enter the opening size and
drop it onto your plan. Digital Takeoff automatically deducts for the
lengths and area of the opening.
Reports Digital Takeoff now automatically generates
reports displaying all your traced measurements. Use these reports to
review your work or to hold subcontractors accountable.
Layer Manager Digital Takeoff’s new layer manager
provides a convenient location to set and view your layer calculations.

running total of your traced measurements. This allows you to keep
tabs on your measurements as you work.
